Rather than a one size fits all approach, we feel it is important to work with authors and publishers to understand their vision and goals in order provide a fair quote for any trailer. What is Living Jacket’s process?

Our goal is to capture the tone and voice of your writing and create a video designed to resonate with viewers. This means that Living Jacket designers work closely with you throughout the process.

We begin by creating a storyboard for the video using the summary of your book, a copy of the manuscript if possible, and ideas we’ve brainstorm with you beforehand. This storyboard is sent to you for feedback and approval.

The first draft of the video is then created, which includes all of the elements that will go into the final video - soundtrack, footage, effects, and copy. Again, this is submitted for your feedback and approval. This is an opportunity for us to ensure that we have created a trailer that aligns with your vision and meets the goals of your marketing strategy.

The video is then finalized, sent to you, and, with your approval, distributed onto our network of over 20 multimedia and social networking sites including Vimeo, YouTube, MySpace, and Bookscreening.

What do I do with my trailer when it is finished?

Additionally, we can work with you to create a targeted distribution strategy to tap into genre and industry specific websites in order to connect your trailer with as many potential readers and sellers as possible.
